Company

The Helmut Geissler Glasinstrumente company, based in Ahrensburg, Germany, can look back on more than 70 years of company history. In 1952, Helmut Geissler founded the company for technical glass and apparatus blowing in the basement of his house in Wertheim. Today it is one of the leading manufacturers of sprinkler ampoules worldwide.
In 1967, Geissler began producing glass ampoules for sprinkler systems, initially using an elaborate manual process. Then, each glass ampoule was still welded by hand. In 1970, the ampoules were already being manufactured in semi-automatic production. In 1985, the company was able to fully automate its production in a second modernization push. Now “Thermo Bulbs” make up a large proportion of production, along with medical glassware and laboratory products; over 250 million units have been produced since the start of their production.

A true recipe for success: Geissler is known for its strong product expertise and many years of experience, but it has never closed its mind to progress. Corporate tradition and regional ties go hand in hand with the continuous improvement of products and production methods.

In 2016, Helmut Geissler Glasinstrumente was integrated into the JOB Group in Ahrensburg, Germany. With the experience of the global market leader JOB, Geissler is opening up new markets with new technologies. National and international customers appreciate the high component availability.
